CVE-2022-27262Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Remote code execution via unvalidated file content

Published Apr 12, 2022 · Updated Jul 9, 2026

Unrestricted file upload in Skipper 0.9.1 allows remote attackers to execute code by submitting a crafted file to an upload endpoint. The server-side upload library relies on spoofable MIME metadata and does not inspect or sanitize embedded content before passing the file to configured storage. Code execution requires a consuming Sails or Express application to expose the upload path and later interpret or serve the stored payload as executable content.
