Command execution in UNISOC chipsets through 2022-03-15 allows attackers to control Android phones via crafted app commands. The privileged preinstalled engineering app accepts unauthenticated custom commands over a network socket and runs them as the Android system user. A malicious app can reach the interface locally, while remote access requires direct network exposure; successful commands can read or wipe data, record audio or video, change settings, or shut down the device.
