CVE-2022-27226Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Remote code execution via cross-origin cron creation

Published Mar 19, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Cross-site request forgery in iRZ Mobile Routers through 2022-03-16 allows remote attackers to execute commands through /api/crontab. The administration API accepts a cross-origin JSON POST that writes an attacker-supplied command and schedule into a cron task, which BusyBox executes. Exploitation requires either valid router credentials or a user to open the attacker's page and submit credentials; successful commands run on the router and grant filesystem access.
