Stored XSS via unescaped parameter rendering
Published Mar 15, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Stored XSS in Jenkins List Git Branches Parameter Plugin 0.0.9 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to run script in a viewer's browser. The plugin renders the List Git branches parameter name or default value without escaping and explicitly disables Jenkins core's protective rendering mechanism. Item/Configure permission is required to store the payload, and execution occurs when another user views a page that lists the crafted parameter.
