CVE-2022-27211Network attack vector

Credential theft via unchecked SSH connection endpoint

Published Mar 15, 2022 · Updated Oct 15, 2024

Missing authorization in Jenkins Kubernetes Continuous Deploy Plugin 2.3.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to capture stored credentials. An HTTP endpoint omits a permission check and initiates an SSH connection to an attacker-selected server with a supplied Jenkins credential ID. Overall/Read permission and a credential ID obtained through another method are required; outbound SSH authentication discloses the selected credential to the attacker-controlled server.
