Stored XSS via unvalidated iframe source URL
Published Mar 15, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Stored XSS in Jenkins Dashboard View Plugin 2.18 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute script via configured views. The Iframe Portlet accepts its Iframe source URL without URL validation or a sandbox attribute, allowing a crafted URL to load active content. View-configuration access is required, and a victim must open the stored dashboard for the script to run in that browser context.
