CVE-2022-27188

Local code execution via tampered graphics file

Published Apr 15, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

OS command injection in Yokogawa CENTUM VP R4.01.00 through R4.03.00 allows local users to execute arbitrary programs via graphics files. The flaw lets a user modify a Graphic Builder-generated file so the Standard Operation and Monitoring Function executes embedded content on an HIS. Exploitation requires low-privileged local access, the VP6E5150 package, and user interaction, and it can alter or interrupt the HIS host.
