Resource-consumption flaw in F5 BIG-IP allows remote attackers to increase memory use through requests to Reject virtual servers. F5 has not disclosed how the packet-filter Reject path processes the triggering requests or why memory use rises. Exposure requires enabled packet filters and a Reject-type virtual server, and the documented effect is resource consumption that interrupts service rather than data access or modification.
