Script execution via unescaped table tooltip content
Published Apr 25, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Cross-site scripting in Element Plus before 2.0.6 allows remote attackers to execute script in a user's browser through crafted table data. The createTablePopper function assigns unescaped el-table-column popperContent to innerHTML when show-overflow-tooltip is enabled. Execution requires a user to move the pointer over the crafted cell, exposing data and actions available to the affected page.
