User redirection via unvalidated backurl destination
Published Mar 21, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Open redirect in Cscms Music Portal System 4.2 allows remote authenticated users to redirect users via the backurl parameter. The public issue report identifies backurl as the input controlling the redirect but does not disclose the affected endpoint or how the application fails to validate the destination. Exploitation requires low-privileged access and user interaction, and the demonstrated consequence is navigation to an attacker-chosen site rather than direct server compromise.
