Stored XSS via unescaped button settings
Published Sep 19, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Stored XSS in Float to Top Button 2.3.6 and earlier allows remote authenticated administrators to run scripts via crafted settings. The plugin renders the button-text and custom-image URL settings without escaping attacker-supplied attribute content. Administrator access is required, but the injected script executes when the settings page is revisited even if unfiltered_html is disabled.
