Local log-file relocation via pre-created mountpoint
Published Mar 31, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Arbitrary file movement in RaiDrive before 2021.12.35 allows local users to relocate log files during installation. The installer moves pre-existing log files placed under a pre-created mountpoint, making the resulting file destination attacker-controlled. Exploitation requires preparing the mountpoint and files before a privileged user completes installation; the reported effect is limited to log-file relocation.
