CVE-2022-27048Network attack vector

Traffic interception and modification via non-endpoint channel access

Published Apr 15, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Channel-access weakness in Moxa MGate MB3000 protocol gateways allows remote attackers to intercept and alter device communications. The gateways do not restrict a communication channel to its intended endpoints, allowing a non-endpoint to observe or influence traffic. Exploitation requires a network position between communicating endpoints and permits disclosure or modification of transit data without reported device disruption.
