Remote code execution via static-route stack overflow
Published Apr 7, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Stack overflow in Tenda AC9 firmware 15.03.2.21_cn allows remote attackers to execute code or crash the httpd service. The SetStaticRouteCfg handler writes request data past a stack buffer boundary; public material does not identify the triggering field or copy operation. Network access to the management service is sufficient, without credentials or user interaction; exploitation compromises the device or interrupts httpd.
