Database access via unescaped searchPost query
Published Aug 7, 2022 · Updated Apr 15, 2025
SQL injection in search.php in Simple E-Learning System allows remote authenticated users to access application database data. The handler embeds the searchPost body parameter inside a posts.body LIKE pattern and executes the resulting SQL without escaping or parameter binding. A registered account is required; crafted values can alter query semantics, enabling data access or modification and interruption of database-backed functions.
