Database query execution via unneutralized post_id
Published Aug 7, 2022 · Updated Apr 15, 2025
SQL injection in comment_frame.php in SourceCodester Simple E-Learning System allows remote authenticated users to alter database queries via post_id. The endpoint places the post_id request value into an SQL statement without neutralizing SQL syntax, so crafted input changes the executed query. A registered account and access to a class discussion are required; successful exploitation executes attacker-controlled queries with the application database account's privileges.
