Stored script execution via unneutralized question input
Published Aug 5, 2022 · Updated Apr 15, 2025
Stored cross-site scripting in SourceCodester Interview Management System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts via crafted questions. The addQuestion.php handler processes the question parameter without neutralizing script markup, causing saved markup to execute when rendered in a browser. Successful exploitation requires question-management access and a victim to view the crafted question, limiting impact to the victim's browser session.
