CVE-2022-26843Network attack vector

Privilege escalation via indistinguishable homoglyphs

Published Feb 16, 2023 · Updated Jan 27, 2025

Insufficient homoglyph distinction in Intel oneAPI DPC++/C++ Compiler before 2022.1 allows remote attackers to escalate privileges. Intel has not published the compiler interface, display path, or code operation that fails to distinguish visually confusable characters. Exploitation requires network access and user interaction; Intel reports confidentiality, integrity, and availability impacts but does not bound the resulting privilege level.
