Account takeover via unsanitized chart-tab selector
Published Aug 22, 2022 · Updated Apr 15, 2025
Reflected XSS in WWBN AVideo 11.6 and dev master commit 3f7c0364 allows attackers to execute JavaScript through a crafted chart-tab link. The view/charts_body.php script inserts the unsanitized jump query parameter into a jQuery ID selector inside an inline script, allowing the value to terminate the selector and inject code. Execution requires an authenticated user to open the crafted URL; code then runs in that user’s browser context and can expose the session or perform actions available to the account.
