CVE-2022-26839

Local code execution via writable application files

Published Mar 29, 2022 · Updated Apr 16, 2025

Incorrect default permissions in Delta Electronics DIAEnergie before 1.8.02.004 allow local users to execute attacker-controlled code. Default permissions leave DIAEnergie application files writable to low-privilege users, allowing new DLLs to be planted or existing executables to be replaced. A local low-privilege account and subsequent loading or execution of a modified file are required, after which code runs in the application's security context.
