Script execution via unescaped profile input
Published Aug 5, 2022 · Updated Apr 15, 2025
Cross-site scripting in SourceCodester Online Student Admission System allows remote authenticated users to run script in another user's browser. The Student User Page's edit-profile.php handler accepts script markup in a submitted profile value and renders it without HTML output encoding. A valid student session and a victim who loads the affected page are required, limiting the consequence to script execution in that browser context.
