Shared-memory corruption via faulty Kernel state management
Published Jun 10, 2026 · Updated Jun 10, 2026
Memory corruption in the Kernel in Apple macOS Monterey before 12.4 allows local users to alter memory shared between processes. The Kernel uses faulty state management for shared interprocess memory, allowing a malicious local application to corrupt that shared memory. Execution of a malicious application on the Mac is required; Apple has not disclosed the affected kernel routine or a consequence beyond unexpected shared-memory changes.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
