CVE-2022-26672Network attack vector

Account data compromise via hard-coded API token

Published Apr 22, 2022 · Updated Sep 16, 2024

Hard-coded credentials in ASUS WebStorage for Android 3.10.1 and earlier allow remote attackers to connect to its server with an embedded API token. The Android app stores the API token in plaintext in its source code, allowing extraction and reuse outside the app to establish server connections. No account is required to use the token, but access, modification, or deletion of a user account requires a successful login attempt against that account.
