Query failure via unescaped backslash input
Published Apr 15, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
SQL query corruption in Asterisk through 19.x allows remote attackers to interrupt database-backed operations via crafted input. The func_odbc module fails to escape backslashes before placing attacker-controlled values into SQL, so databases that treat backslashes as backtick escapes parse a broken statement. Exposure requires func_odbc and that database escape behavior; query failure is confirmed, while database manipulation through SQL injection is unconfirmed.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
