CVE-2022-26597Network attack vector

Stored script execution via unescaped Open Graph metadata

Published Apr 25, 2022 · Updated Jul 8, 2026

Stored XSS in Liferay Portal 7.3.0 through 7.4.0 and Liferay DXP 7.3 before service pack 3 allows remote attackers to inject script via a site name. OpenGraphTopHeadDynamicInclude._getOpenGraphTag concatenates the site-derived content directly into a meta element without HTML attribute escaping. The script executes when another user loads a page containing the generated Open Graph metadata, exposing data and actions available in that browser context.
