CVE-2022-26582

Root privilege escalation via systool command injection

Published Dec 16, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Command injection in the systool client on PAX Technology A930 PayDroid 7.1.1 Virgo V04.3.26T1 20210419 allows local users to gain root access. The systool_server fails to reject dollar signs and backticks in user-supplied commands, causing injected command substitutions to execute with root privileges.
