CVE-2022-2657Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Vendor suspension and order tampering via unprotected AJAX

Published Sep 5, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Missing authorization in MultiVendorX before 3.8.12 allows remote attackers to alter vendor and order state through AJAX requests. The wcmp_suspend_vendor and wcmp_order_status_changed actions accept attacker-chosen vendor or order identifiers without capability or nonce checks. A subscriber can suspend vendors or change order status directly, while unauthenticated exploitation is possible through exposed actions or CSRF against a logged-in user.
