XMPP interception via TLS hostname substitution

Improper certificate validation in Pidgin before 2.14.9 allows remote attackers who spoof DNS responses to intercept XMPP connections. The _xmppconnect DNS TXT record handler redirects the client to an advertised host and validates TLS against that substituted host instead of the original XMPP service domain. Non-DNSSEC name resolution is required, after which a malicious server can obtain credentials and communication content.
