Out-of-bounds write in MediaTek vow on Android 11.0 and 12.0 allows local users with System privileges to gain higher privileges. The vow component performs an incorrect bounds check before writing, permitting memory outside the intended buffer to be overwritten. Exploitation requires existing System-level execution privileges but no user interaction, and can compromise confidentiality, integrity, and availability through elevated execution.
