Database read and modification via injectable eid
Published Aug 4, 2022 · Updated Apr 15, 2025
SQL injection in SourceCodester Online Admission System allows remote attackers to read or modify database records through the eid parameter. The a=edit request accepts SQL expressions in eid and passes them into MySQL query processing without neutralization, enabling blind, error, time, and UNION injection. No user interaction is required, and the public proof of concept demonstrates database-query control through a crafted HTTP request.
