Inadequate encryption strength in Horner Automation RCC972 firmware 15.40 allows remote attackers to recover service credentials. Configuration files protect embedded FTP and HTTP credentials with reversible XOR encryption rather than a cryptographically strong scheme. Network reachability and no authentication are required, and the reported consequence is credential disclosure only.
