CVE-2022-26393Network attack vector

Memory disclosure or crash via message format string

Published Sep 9, 2022 · Updated Sep 16, 2024

Format string handling in Baxter Spectrum Wireless Battery Module 20D29 allows remote authenticated users to read memory or crash the module. Baxter identifies application messaging as the vector but has not disclosed the message field, processing function, or formatting call that accepts the external format string. The WBM must have wireless capability enabled, and exploitation exposes sensitive module memory or interrupts WBM service without altering the pump itself.
