Authentication abuse via unchangeable embedded passwords

Hard-coded passwords in Welch Allyn ELI electrocardiographs allow physically proximate attackers to abuse device authentication. The devices embed unchangeable passwords for inbound authentication or outbound communication with external components; public sources do not identify the affected services or credential values. Physical access is required; affected releases are ELI 380 2.6.0 and earlier, ELI 280 2.3.1 and earlier, ELI 250c 2.1.2 and earlier, and ELI 150c 2.2.0 and earlier, and authentication abuse can expose or alter protected information and interrupt device operation.
