Uncontrolled search path handling in Intel Single Event API installation binaries in all versions allows local users to escalate privileges. Intel identifies the locus only as installation binaries and has not disclosed which executable, path element, or lookup operation is unsafe. Exploitation requires local authenticated access and user interaction and results in execution with elevated privileges.
