Guest-to-host takeover via incoherent page validation

Privilege escalation in the Xen x86 PV hypervisor allows attackers to take control of the host through non-coherent memory mappings. The page-type safety logic audits cache-visible page contents as if they matched main memory, allowing an unsafe page to receive a trusted type reference. Exploitation requires an administrator of an x86 PV guest with device passthrough on a CPU capable of non-coherent accesses, and successful exploitation grants control of the entire host.
