Improper access control in Intel processor BIOS firmware allows privileged local users to escalate privileges on affected Xeon systems. Intel identifies the BIOS firmware as the locus but does not disclose the affected interface, authorization check, or unsafe operation. Exploitation requires an already privileged local user and grants authority beyond that user's existing authorization.
