Remote code execution via unchecked location copy
Published Aug 5, 2022 · Updated Apr 15, 2025
Buffer overflow in confsrv on TCL LINKHUB Mesh Wi-Fi AC1200 MS1G_00_01.00_14 allows remote attackers to execute code. ucloud_set_node_location copies the packet's attacker-controlled NodeLocation location string with strcpy into a fixed destination without validating its length. The attacker must join the appliance-provided Wi-Fi and reach port 9003; an overlong protobuf field can corrupt static process data, crash confsrv, or enable code execution.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
