CVE-2022-2634Network attack vector

Remote code execution via unrestricted Python upload

Published Aug 9, 2022 · Updated Apr 16, 2025

Improper privilege management in Digi ConnectPort X2D devices manufactured before January 2020 allows remote attackers to execute Python code. The web application fails to enforce device access protections and file permissions, allowing uploaded Python files to be stored and later executed. Exploitation requires network reachability but no authentication or user interaction; successful code runs on the embedded gateway.
