CVE-2022-26318Known exploitationNetwork attack vector

Unauthenticated remote code execution via null pointer dereference

Published Mar 4, 2022 · Updated Oct 21, 2025

RCE in WatchGuard Firebox and XTM appliances with Fireware OS 12.0 through 12.7.2_Update1 allows remote attackers to run arbitrary code. The exposed management path reaches a null pointer dereference, but WatchGuard has not identified the affected function or request field. Reachability requires exposed management access; authentication and user interaction are not required, and successful exploitation executes arbitrary code.
