Unauthenticated account takeover via injectable employee ID
Published Mar 16, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
SQL injection in Online Project Time Management System 1.0 allows remote attackers to read or alter database data through the id parameter. The save_employee function accepts the id value in a MySQL expression, where crafted quotes append executable subqueries such as LOAD_FILE and SLEEP. No authentication or user interaction is required, and exploitation can expose stored information or alter accounts, including administrator credentials.
