Stored XSS via unescaped notification settings
Published Oct 10, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Stored XSS in WP Darko Top Bar before 3.0.4 allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts in visitors' browsers. The plugin stores the tpbr_message, tpbr_btn_text, tpbr_btn_url, and tpbr_color settings without sanitization and emits them into frontend pages without output escaping. Administrator-level access is required to plant a payload, and script execution occurs when a visitor loads an affected frontend page.
