Arbitrary SQL execution via public tracking reference
Published Mar 2, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
SQL injection in Air Cargo Management System 1.0 allows remote attackers to execute MySQL expressions through the public shipment-tracing interface. The public trace handler accepts ref_code from a GET request and passes injected subqueries to MySQL, as demonstrated by SLEEP and LOAD_FILE execution. Because shipment tracing is exposed on the public side, no account is required; demonstrated consequences include database-initiated network access and attacker-controlled query delays.
