CVE-2022-26159Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Information disclosure via exposed autocomplete XML wordlists

Published Feb 28, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Information disclosure in Ametys CMS before 4.5.0 allows remote attackers to read private-page autocomplete data via public XML endpoints. The auto-completion plugin exposes language-specific XML wordlists and returns matching indexed terms for arbitrary unauthenticated q-parameter prefixes. Network access alone permits iterative prefix queries that reconstruct terms typed by all users, including usernames, email addresses, and passwords from private content.
