Browser script execution via SAMLResponse payload
Published Feb 28, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Reflected XSS in Cherwell Service Management 10.2.3 allows remote attackers to execute script in a user's browser via SAMLResponse. The SAMLResponse handling fails to neutralize attacker-controlled request-body input before placing it in web output. Exploitation requires user interaction with a crafted request; the script runs in the CSM origin and can read or alter browser-accessible data.
