Cross-origin data disclosure via misclassified Background Fetch redirects

Insufficient cookie policy enforcement in Google Chrome before 104.0.5112.79 allows remote attackers to leak cross-origin data. Background Fetch redirect handling updates the first-party URL as though the request were a top-frame navigation, causing incorrect SameSite cookie processing. Exploitation requires the browser user to open a crafted HTML page, and the reported consequence is cross-origin data disclosure without integrity or availability impact.
