Missing authorization in SAP Financial Consolidation before 10.1 allows remote attackers to alter the homepage maintenance message via its API. The homepage-message update API applies a submitted message without checking whether the caller holds the required functional role. No authentication or user interaction is required, and the documented consequence is limited to modification of the maintenance message.
