Session hijacking via unsanitized sap-theme parameter
Published Mar 8, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Cross-site scripting in SAP Fiori Launchpad 754 through 756 allows remote attackers to execute script through a crafted URL. The launchpad uses the sap-theme URL parameter's optional CSS path directly during page generation without sufficient sanitization, allowing attacker-controlled HTML in the response. An unauthenticated attacker must persuade a user to follow the link; script execution can hijack the victim's session or issue unwanted SAP requests with that user's privileges.
