Data disclosure via unvalidated parser input
Published Apr 11, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Null pointer dereference in Samsung Mobile Devices before SMR Apr-2022 Release 1 allows remote attackers to disclose data via parser input. The libsimba parser_auxC function fails to validate untrusted input before dereferencing a null pointer, which produces an out-of-bounds write. Network access without authentication or user interaction is sufficient, and Samsung reports no integrity or availability impact.
