Out-of-bounds write via unchecked parser input
Published Apr 11, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Null pointer dereference in Samsung Mobile Devices Q(10), R(11), and S(12) allows remote attackers to trigger an out-of-bounds write. The libsimba parser_irot function fails to validate input data before processing it, causing the invalid memory write. Exploitation is remote and unauthenticated, requires no user interaction, and exposes confidential data without altering it or interrupting service.
