Arbitrary code execution via improper AGIF boundary check
Published Apr 11, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Memory corruption in the Quram AGIF library in Samsung Mobile Devices running Android 10 through 12 allows local users to execute arbitrary code. The library performs an improper boundary check while processing data, permitting an arbitrary memory write that drives code execution. Local access is required, without prior privileges or user interaction; successful exploitation runs code in the library's process context.
